It just starts sometimes for no reason, if I’m out it’s is so embarrassing , it’s depressing me as I no longer look forward to social events and find it’s really affecting my life. I have a family wedding in July which I am dreading because of it. All necklines of clothes get soaked . I am so aware of it all the time and feel very anxious. I haven’t discussed this with a dr. I find it very embarrassing.

Has anyone heard that the medication used for treating hyperhidrosis can lead to memory loss. This is what my dermatologist told me. I’m 71 so worried about this possible side effect
Which medications was your dermatologist talking about? I had not heard this yet but I too am interested.
I get hot flashes continuously, which always comes with going red and sweating so bad my clothes soak in minutes. If it's chilly outside steam will actually come off my head. Been tested for so many things and seen soo many doctors who have all given up on me even though they've seen it. My head and face are the worst though. It's a constant drip, it's ridiculous. I hate leaving my house. Anyone deal with something similar? Also im 26 years old 5'0 tall 220lbs.
Thank god you folks are here I thought I was the only one who couldn’t wear makeup or go to certain events My head is like a leaky faucet, drip drip drip soooo embarrassing.

Mine starts on my head and can actually feel it spreading out within my hair (like a puddle eh water getting bigger) then it's as though the moment it starts between fringe n brow line a sudden showers switch on using maximum pressure, within a minute (2 at most) I drenched(no joke when a say head 2 toe) what's worse this can last for as long as it decides it wants to stop, the longest it's lasted was at least 30 odd hrs continuos. I read once that starting the menopause can trigger hyperhydrosis, I get this on my head and believe menopause may have triggered it in me, anyone else think this?😅

I had a hysterectomy at age 39 so my sweating is not from menopause
It started when I was about 45 and am 65 now.
Mine is mostly my head and face.
I am born and always lived in Florida so humidity and heat have always been in my world.
I do not have excessive tension, ptsd or any of the other things mentioned here that might contribute to it.
I find it so sad so many of us suffer from this condition and there is no real solution in sight.… read more
My daughter suggested this to me so I approached my doctor. I thought that at 71 I was too old for HRT, however my doctor has agreed to it once my blood pressure settles down. Fingers crossed.
