Sleep Issues and Hyperhidrosis

Posted on May 07, 2018

"Kept the fan on all day. Not looking forward to bed. I don’t sweat much now I sleep on my own because all I have on is a sheet and the fan. Sadly I haven’t slept with my husband for a few years, because of the discomfort of sleeping in a bed with covers on it." -A member on MyHyperhidrosisTeam

On MyHyperhidrosisTeam, the social network and online support group for those living hyperhidrosis, members talk about a range of personal experiences and struggles. Sleep issues are one of the most discussed subjects.

Here are some conversations about sleep issues:

Very bad night sweats so bad I sometimes have to change the sheets but the mattress is soaked. I can ring my clothes out. And I wake up freezing cold and shivering.

Feeling anxious and stressed only make things worse - not looking forward to the night as in addition to the sweating I can’t get to sleep.

The Sleep Study doctor put me on a new medication. For the past two nights, I’ve SLEPT. The amazing thing is I’ve only sweat a few times!

I live or exist in this life sleeping a lot and going to specialists Drs & having tests. It doesn't matter if its day or night I am wet from sweating.

I was looking forward to sleeping in this morning. I woke up in a big wet spot, ice cold.I get groin sweats terribly.

Can you relate?
