Members connected over the frustrating experience of excessive head and face sweating, sharing that it often feels isolating until discovering how many others face the same challenge. Several members found relief through different approaches, including Botox injections (reporting around 75% improvement at 350 euros per treatment), oxybutynin medication (with some using it strategically before special events to achieve 80-90% dryness, though others found it ineffective or caused side effects), cooling bandanas from Amazon, and applying antiperspirant along the hairline. A recurring theme was the emotional toll of this condition, with many describing how it had become debilitating and affected their willingness to participate in social activities, grocery shopping, and hobbies they once enjoyed like dancing.

Hi I wear a bandana that you dampen and click when warm to cool again. You can get them from Amazon. I use when doing housework etc. At least it stops sweat from getting in eyes. Good Luck

I thought I was the only person who had this problem until I joined this group. The head sweats were so embarrassing it had become debilitating. I used to be active, enjoyed dancing, etc. but even going to the grocery store was a problem. I tried anti-persperants along my hairline, front and back, and that seemed to help a little. I put bandanas under a baseball cap to contain some of the sweat. A few months ago my doctor prescribed oxibutyn and it has gotten much better.

I had a botox treatment on my head recently and it helped i would say 75 percent, could put creme on my face without it getting washed off by sweat within minutes .
Now i am waiting for word from my insurance company if they will reimburse me for these treatments and pay for more .
One treatment only was 350 euro and i have this problem everywhere exept hands anf feet and underarms how weird is that

I sweat mainly from my head, feel like i just got out of the shower!! and look like a drowned rat!! drips down my back, right down. and yes when i get up , there is a puddle.....Oxy does not work for me at all, makes me space out then end up with a massive headache!!

Oxibutyn works for short periods only - for me. So if I have a special occasion on day Saturday, I take 20mg Wednesday, 30mg on Thursday, Friday & Saturday. By then it is working. Dry mouth but who cares! I’m 80%/90% dry. Did this last weekend in 33* heat (in uk that’s hot!), humid. I was outside, in shade, but busy supporting an artist doing signings. And I was DRY!!! It was even still effective on Sunday.
But if it take it all the time.... stops working.
Long live the face cloth!
