Oh my God that’s v hot
I'm always hot, but had been sweating like crazy over a few months. The doctor seems not to care when I mention it. Is there any way, form, treatment I can use to feel relief? This completely changed my life. I am very aware of the constant sweating and feel ashamed to go out or even receiving visitors since no one seems to understand and tell me is menopause. I sweat mostly my head and face, get red, getting rashes under my breast and bikini line, vaginal infections since I get completely… read more

I tried Iontopheresis (for my hands and feet) and whilst this worked it didn’t completly stop the sweating so my dermatologist recommended botox. I could only have it in my hands and it only worked for 2 months. I have also tried medication but it made my mouth so dry i had to stop. What other treatments are available? And what treatments have people found to be the most effective?
Do u need a prescription for that.
I have always been a extreme sweater. My Mother, Father and Grandfather have too. I recently was prescribed an antidepressant that finally works. It starts on the back of head neck area. The droplets begin to start running down my back. I hate it. It makes me so self conscious. I want to scream and go hide from everyone.
I shave the back of my head where I sweat from.
I'm new to this group but not new to hyperhidrosis. I'm currently 55 but my first memory of excessive sweating was on the playground in 5th or 6th grade. No one wanted to share their baseball mitt with me because my sweating made it sopping wet. Fast forward to my late 20s when I discovered oxybutynin and my life changed. I was finally able to manage my excessive sweating and felt a lot more comfortable in my skin. Recently the oxybutynin manufacturer I had been using (Apotex) no longer produces… read more
I too was put on those oxy's. All it did was dry my mouth out. It didnt help with my sweats at all. I guess each case is differant on what works.
My Gp is not very helpful so looking for recommendations for constant sweating head and soaking hair please. Thank you
My hyperhidrosis is very similar to yours Mernie. My doctor recently placed me on Clonidine. It is used for seizures but, one of the side effects is that it causes you not to sweat. Finally, NO… read more
