Members rallied around someone asking whether propantheline works for excessive head sweating, with multiple community members enthusiastically confirming that propantheline bromide (Pro-Banthine) has been life-changing for them, dramatically reducing the rivers of sweat that once dripped down their faces and necks. Several members shared their dosing schedules, typically one tablet in the morning and afternoon with two at night, and noted that while dry mouth is a common side effect for a couple hours after taking it, it's a small price to pay for relief from constant sweating. A recurring theme was the importance of asking your doctor about a prescription, as it's not available over the counter, with one member also mentioning a topical medication called Drysol as an alternative option prescribed by a dermatologist.

Propantheline is great for me, I've been taking it almost three years, and don't know what I would do without it..I don't get rivers of sweat running from my head and dripping down my face and neck any more...unless I forget to take it...Worth a try...

I have been prescribed propantheline bromide aka pro banthine , I take one in the morning one in afternoon and two at night that seems to work for me, it's changed my life, but there are also other medications too...It tends to cause a bit of a dry mouth for a couple of hours after it's taken but it's a small price to pay for not being dripping wet all the time..

I saw my Dermatologist for mine.. I didn't know who to see.. He helped quite a bit. I am on a topical medication called Drysol, you apply wherever you feel yourself starting to sweat. Seems to be working OK for me for now.. All my best... Becky
