Has anyone heard that the medication used for treating hyperhidrosis can lead to memory loss. This is what my dermatologist told me. I’m 71 so worried about this possible side effect
Which medications was your dermatologist talking about? I had not heard this yet but I too am interested.
I feel that I have never come out of the menopause, however I started on antidepressants around what should have been close to the end of the menopause and wonder if this might be responsible for the continued symptoms
I have the same issue
Has anybody had their GP give them medication for this and that it has helped as going back to my GP and said i would ask on her.
Thank you in advance.
o my god Ginny that's so bad.
Fluoxetine.. personally this adds to mine
I'm new to this group but not new to hyperhidrosis. I'm currently 55 but my first memory of excessive sweating was on the playground in 5th or 6th grade. No one wanted to share their baseball mitt with me because my sweating made it sopping wet. Fast forward to my late 20s when I discovered oxybutynin and my life changed. I was finally able to manage my excessive sweating and felt a lot more comfortable in my skin. Recently the oxybutynin manufacturer I had been using (Apotex) no longer produces… read more
I too was put on those oxy's. All it did was dry my mouth out. It didnt help with my sweats at all. I guess each case is differant on what works.
I’m really desperate for advice on how to manage this cursed. I don’t even need to be active for sweat to be pouring off my face and making my hair wet. It’s getting so bad I don’t want to leave my home because I’m so embarrassed
Hi, I’m in the UK and have never heard of “Buddy'sapp” I’ve looked online but can’t find any information. What is it and where can I get some ??
I've asked my dermatologist and she looks at me as if I'm crazy, and my gynecologist keeps telling me it's menopause (20 years) not!!!! Nobody gets it!!! I'm a puddle and my hair becomes dripping wet!

It starts on the back of head neck area. The droplets begin to start running down my back. I hate it. It makes me so self conscious. I want to scream and go hide from everyone.
I shave the back of my head where I sweat from.
Can I have Botox injections in my face though and is it painful when I am out shopping or just out and about in general I find it so embarrassing it’s like standing under a shower and then obviously I get anxious nd I know this will be making matters worse
