My dermatologist recently prescribed Oxybutinin for my primary cranial hyperhidrosis. Due to another medication that I take (Suboxone), I did not respond well to the Oxybutinin. I am now being prescribed Robinul, instead. I started the Robinul 5 days ago, and so far, can not tell a difference. I need to do some research on how long it should take to feel some relief. Another option that was told to me, is Botox injections. However, since mine is cranial (head & face only), she doesn't think it's a good idea.

Check out toronto sweat clinic. They have treatment for primary hyperhydrosis surgery to cut nerves to underarms and hands covered by ohip. Or secondary hyperhydrosis they have miradry treatment which is lazer sweat removal at $1600 a treatment. Most ppl need 1-3 treatments. Also some use botox but only works for about 6months then have to redo. Personally i just get thompson tees the bamboo ones online they wick sweat away from your body and not to outter layer.

I wanted to give an update to my experience with Robinul. I ended up taking it for about 2 months. One morning, I woke up and needed to pee SOO badly. However, when I tried, I literally could not go. I even had to Google how to make yourself go. It was awful and continued on for several weeks after discontinuing use. Robinul is often given to folks who are in hospice because it dries up any type of oozing. I was eventually told this by my PCP. I had to have my kidneys/bladder checked, and I learned what the Valsava Maneuver is.
